Reportedly leaving Islam: ‘I will accept whatever they do to me’

(VATICAN INSIDER) — According to reports, a Kuwaiti royal prince has become a follower of Jesus Christ.

In an audio file posted with his name, he affirms that if he is killed because of a recording he made where he talks about his conversion, he firmly believes that he will meet Jesus Christ face-to-face.

The news comes from Middle Eastern sources which state that al-Haqiqa – a Christian satellite TV channel in Arabic that transmits Christian religious programs – broadcast an audio file attributed to the Kuwaiti prince, identified as Abdullah al-Sabah.

The al-Sabahs are the royal family of Kuwait, a country rich in oil. The name Abdullah (servant of God) frequently appears in the Emir’s family tree.

The code words, of course, originally had much to do with race.

But this race-based anger charged politics mutated in Mr. Gingrich into a more generalized moral authoritarianism. Mr. Gingrich wants to be obeyed. Indeed he does. When Gingrich refers to Mr. Obama as the greatest food stamps President in modern history, it doesn’t matter that it’s not true. It allows him to use those code words that he so loves.

During a White House press briefing on Monday, Fox News’ Ed Henry asked Press Secretary Jay Carney if the White House displays a portrait of Saul Alinsky for its staff to look up to. Carney’s answer was less than direct, and would seem to hint that there just might be something to the Alinsky portrait rumors.

BOSTON (CBS) | Senator John Kerry surprised a few people at the Boston Bruins Stanley Cup ceremony at the White House Monday afternoon.

The 68-year-old senator had two black eyes and a swollen nose.

His spokeswoman Whitney Smith told WBZ-TV Kerry broke his nose playing ice hockey recently.

We all love to dine out special on our birthdays, and who would not love to dine at a place where the lunchtime favorite on the menu is named just after YOU! Tuesday evening the  First Couple headed over to celebrate at “BLT Steak” featuring, you guessed it, the “ObamaBurger!” This lunchtime bargain is priced for fairness at $28.

Even though, we all know Michelle loves a good burger, and, Michelle loves to frequent “BLT Steak,” where her namesake burger boasts an 8 oz Kobe American Beef patty with melted cheddar cheese, crisp bacon, burnt tomato ketchup, and fabulous scallion mustard. We can’t forget that this was a special night! This was the First Lady’s birthday night out, so even if a big juicy gourmet burger LITERALLY has your name on it, well, that simply will not do!

Hey! Nothing says “Happy Birthday to me! We party just like everybody else!” like a big beefy piece of succulent aged beef cooked to perfection that is served in less than 40 restaurants in the entire country! Oh yes! Mmm hmmm! It was a nite to celebrate, and that is what the First Couple did! After all, it’s already been a long couple weeks since their last vacay getaway! We all have limits, right? A celebratory night out with the besties is in order! They even brought along some of their best buds for the birthday bash. Joined by A.G. Eric Holder and his wife Dr. Sharon Malone along with Senior Advisor Valorie Jarrett joined to round out the awesome party of five!

Now back to that beef! It was flavorful and succulent! Our healthy birthday girl with biceps of steel indulged in American Wagyu Top Cap Steak for the bargain birthday price of $81 for a 10 oz cut! That’s authentic Kobe beef, bred and fed to perfection! Curious about how that works? See Here

After that light reading, you may want to take a breather and just ponder the pre-dinner warmer uppers…We’ve all been
 there…you know, what the average family in today’s America shares after a long, thoughtful and careful discussion about appetizers around the 4 Star Restaurant dining table! The same is true, no less, for our First Couple and their party of five as they pondered their budget for the pre-cursor to their birthday entree!
Well, okay…the appetizers were succulent mouth teasers as well, and full of imagination! That’s right! Our party of five decided to live on the edge and ordered The American Wagyu Skirt Steak (10 0z, $55) and 28-Day Dry Aged New York Strip (16 0z, $46). They were accompanied by fine sauces such as Horseradish, Peppercorn, 3 Mustards, and you guessed it, “Steak” sauce. Mmmm. Mmmm. Mmmmmmm.

Feeling full? Not so fast! We still need to break down the rest of the meal! Yes, there were other delicious decadent offerings besides some of the rarest beef on Planet Earth! Now, lean in here…no, lean in…a little closer. Come on, this is super top secret stuff! Don’t share this with anyone else, or well, you could end up on Mayor Bloomberg’s to-do list, and that can’t be good! That’s right. You read it here first, well, first if you don’t go looking for trouble like I do, but you get the picture. This is for your eyes only! Served along with dinner was (pause with scary music)…huge house signature bread, a fluffy Popover, served piping hot on demand, accompanied by a salt shaker the size of a pint of milk!! That’s right! A salt shaker, the size of a pint of milk! (Shhhh! Remember the Bloomberg thing I warned you about!) Just ponder that (but not a peep…remember?)
Okay, moving along to the companions to the beefy birthday selections! The sides were served family style (wink wink) to the table, and included French Fries, Mashed Potatoes, Caramelized Brussel Sprouts with Bacon, Creamed Spinach, and ever favorite of all time Hen of the Woods Mushrooms. Don’t you love when your side dishes are capitalized? That means they have proper names like historical figures that unlike our children, we used to read about in middle school.

You may be feeling stuffed full about now, but remember the golden rule of 4 star dining! There’s always room for $50 dessert! And well, this was a birthday bash, right? Nothing says, “Happy Birthday!” like a traditional birthday cake! We all know what that means! The birthday cake was “Red Velvet”, which okay, is not on the “BLT menu” but served because it is “a favorite” of the First Lady’s! You know your chef has your favorites waiting for you too; all you need to do is drop over, and let the magic begin! And if you even know (off the top of your head) what Red Velvet cake is, then you are truly the exception to the “just like everybody else!” rule!!!

Well, we do know this, there was no inscription on top of the cake, thanks to a crumb topping. The cake was accompanied by Cream Cheese Ice Cream-another decadent offering that I don’t believe is a typical flavor found at 31 Flavors. It sure sounds delish, right?

Mrs. Obama closed her eyes and made a wish before blowing out the candles to cheers from the Party of Five…and a few of the staff (Party-crashers!). Ah, a typical birthday night we can ALL relate to!

It’s like DejaVu (all over again)

KTNV |  Lawrence Tynes booted the Giants into the Super Bowl again.

Tynes kicked a winning 31-yard field goal in sudden-death overtime and New York beat the San Francisco 49ers 20-17 in the NFC championship game Sunday night to reach its second Super Bowl in five seasons.

Eli Manning and the Giants (12-7) will face the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl on Feb. 5 in Indianapolis, just as they did when they won it in 2008.

Tynes also kicked the game-winning field goal in overtime at Green Bay in the 2008 NFC title game that put the Giants in the Super Bowl.

Devon Thomas put the Giants in position. He recovered his second fumble of the game after Jacquian Williams stripped the ball from fill-in return man Kyle Williams.
